Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

This slide shows you how to repair a blouse that has a low neck line using an extra piece of cloth in the colour of your choice.

- First, fix the edges of the extra cloth so that they are hemmed-in and smooth, except if you deliberately want to give a rough effect to your work.
- (2) make pleats (folds) in the cloth to the direction of your choice: inwards, outwards or facing each other.
-(3) now sew or attach the new piece of cloth behind the already existing neck-line as shown on the slide.

-You are done! Enjoy your renewed clothing, godly woman!

Problems in dressing

A facebook post by Stephen Maaldol.

(i) The Case of Mistaken Identity
Exodus 2:16-19; Proverbs 7:10; Genesis 38:12-15, 21

Your dressing shows who you are. Some dressings are suggestive and they do communicate to the opposite sex. Dresses that were formally worn by harlots in their brothel to attract men are now worn by all openly.

(ii) The Case of Stumbling Blocks and Offences
Matthew 5:27-29; 18:6-8, 10; 1 Corinthians 8:9; Romans 14:13,21

Men usually have immoral and impure thoughts if they see exposed delicates parts of women. Sisters are their brothers’ keepers. Christian sisters must always see to it that they do not constitute problems to the men.
Therefore; skirts and dresses must be well below the knees so that the knees are still covered even in the sitting position. Shirt-like blouses and skirts are dangerous.
Men too should not pose problems to women.

(iii) The Case of Idolatry, Pride and God’s Judgment.
Genesis 35:1-4; Exodus 33:4-6; Isaiah 3:16-24

Jacob told the women to put away their strange gods, as they were going to worship, they also put their earrings away. The wearing of earrings was associated with burning incense to Baal (Hosea 2:13). Jacob, being commanded to go to Bethel to renew his covenant with God, desired to put away every vestige of idolatry from the people, and for this reason buried these earrings under the oak.

There must not be in our hearts the desire to attract attention. The spiritually hungry do not desire the show and style of the world. They are not so much concerned about pleasing those who are around them; they want to please God. The humble soul never looks for the applause of the world. That soul desire, more than anything else, the approval of God.
